The Colorful Greyzones project in Vienna explores the themes of celebration, closeness, and distance. Inspired by encounters during walks in the pandemic and phone calls during times of social distancing, the project aims to showcase the artistic works of the past 11 years through an outdoor performance in Yppenpark. Alongside retrospective pieces, newly developed actions will also be incorporated. In addition, the performers, led by Simon Mayer, will take the audience on a musical journey through the last 11 years with a concert in the courtyard of the brut nordwest. Songs from stage productions such as "Oh Magic" and "Sons of Sissy" will be performed, adding another layer to the experience. This project highlights the intersection between celebration and distance, offering an opportunity to reflect on the past while embracing new developments in performance art.
The program of the two venuesin Vienna and Upper Austria offers visitors the opportunity to explore, together with the performers, the phenomenon of the grey zone as a colorful, freedom-giving intermediate space and as a space of unlimited possibilities. CG takes place in Andorf/OÖ and Vienna and is a collaboration between the art and culture associations "Spiel" (Upper Austria) and "Kopf hoch / Art in Motion". The two partners brut nordwest and Brunnenpassage are also involved as supporters.
